The City of Richmond Hill, Georgia is a quiet family community, located just minutes south of metropolitan Savannah. About the Richmond Hill Fire Department

The Richmond Hill Fire Department (RHFD) is comprised of 31 career employees and 3 part-time employees, The department continues to grow with the growth of the City.  The RHFD is an effective career department comprised of 3 stations, 5 engines,  and 2 aerials. The RHFD provides quality fire protection and life-saving services to one of the fastest growing communities in the State of Georgia.

The RHFD proudly serves our community by providing 24-hour fire and rescue services. Our staff includes a Fire Chief, 2 Division Chiefs, 3 Captains, 4 Lieutenants, 9 Sergeants,  and 12 Firefighters, sixteen of whom are also certified EMTs (11 EMT, 1 EMT-1, 3 EMT-A,  and 1 paramedic). Firefighters work a 24-hour shift rotation, which consists of 24-hours on duty (unpaid sleep break of 8 hours) and 48-hours off duty.
